Odds  &  Ends...

The most common questions asked on Dr David Freemantle's seminars:

         "How to handle difficult customers?"

        "How to motivate disinterested employees?"

         "How to effect change?"

"How to get the support of my boss   (or the top bosses)?" ______________________________________________________________________________

What motivates Dr David Freemantle?

"None of us are perfect. I believe there is always a better way. If you don't find it your competitors will. My mission in life is help people find the better way -

whether it is to do with customer service, motivation or leadership"

"People motivate me.  I am privileged to visit many different countries and meet many fascinating people - from all walks of life."

"I am a student of success. I love successful people and these inspire me"

"I love to learn.  Not a day goes by without me learning something.__________________________________________________________________

What does Dr David Freemantle do when he is not working?

"I love my work so I am not sure really what work is.  However when I am not running seminars, preparing for them or writing books I love to be with my young Filipina paratner

"I love to walk and swim for exercise. Fortunately I live on the 22nd floor of a condominium block in Salcedo Village, Makati City, Philippines and two floors above is a roof-top

           swimming pool.

The weather is invariably warm in the    Philippines so we can use the pool most days."

"I love music - anything from classical, to jazz to good old-fashioned rock and pop. (I'm not so keen on rap, hip-hop, heavy metal etc.).  Late at night I will tap into YouTube Music Videos.

"I love to read -  good books, biographies, travel, good novels and even business books.  I rarely watch television - except perhaps for the news and the occasional documentary.

David Freemantle's favourite quotations:

"Work is love made visible"  Kahil Gibran

"For where your treasure is there your heart will be also" (from the Bible, Matthew 6:21)

"If you sprinkle enough bread on water sooner or later a fish will bite, but you never know which fish and when. But certainly a fish will bite. If you never sprinkle bread on water a fish will never bite." (Anon)

“All that we are is the result of what we have thought:  it is founded on our thoughts, it is made up of our thoughts.  If man speaks or acts with an evil thought, pain follows him.  For never does hatred cease by hatred: hatred ceases by love; this is an eternal law”

The Dhammapada, Chapter 1, Verses 1,5

“Many highly intelligent people are caught in the intelligence trap. They take a position on a subject and then use their thinking skill solely to support that position

“The more able they are to support the position, the less do they see any need actually to explore the subject:  so they become trapped into one point of view

“The need is to UNTHINK what has previously been thought and explore other options”
